Harrington 102 -- Another bad review. Caveat Emptor.

Soheil Mehrab-Khani's "hotel" (it's an accomodation facility!) is still picking up bad reviews.

This is from Bookings.com which have  visited this blog 3 times in connection with the complaints raised, I would assume. One can only hope The Harrington will be de-listed from it's web site.

"Contrary to the hotel description, free wifi is not available in "all areas", only in the common areas near reception. Pointing this out, the owner took it very personally and started yelling at me. If I hadn't had paid for the room already, I'd have left on the spot. Having travelled extensively throughout the world, I've never experienced anything like it ever in my life!" -- Manuel, Bookings.com

I am fervently hoping more people look for reviews of accomodation before they travel.
Caveat Emptor.

Harrington 102-"Worst Hotel I Ever Stayed In"

"This was probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in -certainly the poorest value for money. It started by the owner trying to charge me 1.5% on the credit card deposit payment that had been taken three months earlier.

The room was dirty and minute -barely room to move between bed and wall. The blinds did not keep out the daylight in the morning. Glass blocks in the window frames so windows could not be opened. There was no lift and the stairs steep and dangerous.

Breakfast was terrible with instant coffee. The WiFi did work in our room. The owners spent the whole time, during our stay, sorting out credit card slips in relation to making their tax return and complaining about their previous advisers to any guest who was prepared to listen. This so called luxury hotel spoilt what was otherwise a pleasant stay in Hobart."

It seems many people are still not reading reviews from the travel sites before booking into this "luxury hotel".

" It is a real dump and the room was very depressing. We only stayed for about 40 minutes in this place before we decided to cancel our booking but like others we too had to pay up front and now have a battle before us..."http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g255097-d300914-Reviews-Harrington_s_102-Hobart_Tasmania.html

Harrington 102--"...A Real Dump...Very Depressing!"

Just two weeks into the New Year, and two bad reviews complaining about Soheil Mehrab-Khani's "hotel".

A "honeymoon destroyed" say some Australians.
A visit to Hobart "spoiled" say some Englismen.
And an application to International Booking Company to force a refund.

Harrington 102-"-the worst hotel I have ever stayed..."

People not reading the reviews of Harrington 102 and finding crap in the toilet from previous guests and a room so small you can't swing a cat at....no surprise if you follow this web site which is a public service site to warn you about the owner, one Soheil Mehrab-Khani also known as Soheil Khani, who does not have a "strong bedside manner", and has various business interests which upsets a lot of people!!

This "Hotel" (it's not a registered Hotel, people, it's an accomodation facility!), if judged by reviews, it would no longer function. People would not be surprised that it is below "Western Standards", according to one of the reviews we list. The latest review from Trip Advisor follows:

"Do not stay there!"

"this place is the worst hotel i have ever stayed at in my life, before even getting to hobart the owner rang up asking for one nights stay in advance which sounded a bit funny to us, Once arriving at this hotel we were told to pay the second night right then and there, the smell in the lobby was enough to make the strongest of stomachs curl. The one member of stuff who seems to be everything from manager to cleaner was extremely rude not to mention her husband who was laying all over the lounge in the lobby so no visiter could sit down and rest.

After carrying our bags up the stairs which are they only way up or down from rooms we were met with a very small cramped room that you could not swing a cat in, there was no room to more around the room unless you climbed over the bed the tv antener cord was hanging over the fridge making it hard to acsses, there were no windows bare glass blocks,
The bathroom with very very small and not the marbel it was said to be, the toitel was not clean at all still having its last guests mess in it, to be able to have a shower you needed to side step past the toilet to step through the shower door, which was no where near big enough for one let alone two people.

The whole room had tiled floors which are extremely slippery and for me was a very bad experience for i am pregnant and slipped on there floor with out haveing a shower at all, the room was very stuffy it was hard to breath with holes in walls.

After staying one night we had to wait 15 minutes to speak to the women as she was too busy sitting in the lobby eating her own breakfast and watching the tv once we had her attention we asked for our money back and was told no, after explaining that i had fallen on the floor and am pregnant i was told that was my own fault that it had happened not to mention tripping on the stairs, we also told the owner that we fould mouse dropping on the floor in our room but we were brushed off, after handing back the key she told us she was going to look at our room to see how much mess we had made.

If you value you health and safty please do NOT stay at this hotel it is the most unhygienic place i have ever been and the worst experience of my life"
