No Sale Of Khani Properties

On February 25th the only bid for 157 BATHURST ST at auction was one of $200,000.

Despite it having been advertised recently by George Self Real Estate as a “Must Sell” auction, the auctioneer first bid $250,000 & then $340,000 on behalf of Mr Khani and then passed it in to deal with the $200,000 bidder.

That bidder left without anything being agreed. No mention was made by the Auctioneer of the Warning recently placed on the Title by the Hobart City Council as to inadequate fire separation between this house & No.159.

HARRINGTON’S 102 (accommodation Facility) was recently offered for sale with tenders closing on Feb 3rd.

It remains unsold & has picked up 2 more bad reviews in the last week (see last post).

159 BATHURST ST continues to be advertised for sale “offers over $450,000. The Agents ad says it has 483 sqm. The Title Deed 163295/5 shows that it has only 226 sqm.

33 MARLBOROUGH ST, SANDY BAY has seen no action to comply with the Planning Appeal Tribunal Order to remove fill dumped there & to re-vegetate as native bush land.

It was listed for Sale for about a year by George Self Real Estate (now closed). It is now listed by Falls but wrongly referred to as No.3 Marlborough, ”inspections by appointment only”.

178 BRISBANE ST
This has been effectively made into 2 flats complete with big shiny Unit 1 & 2 letter boxes put in by Mr Khani.

Now Mr Khani has applied to the Hobart City Council for permission to convert it into 2 flats. He has told the Council that he plans to then have it Stratum Titled into 2 units. Two separate sales attempts are then likely.

One neighbour has lodged objection alleging 14 instances of non-compliance with the Hobart Planning Scheme & 3 of non-compliance with the Australian Building Code.

Watch this space.
